Weekend Food Program

Our Food

The Sheridan Story is committed to using only nutritious food that retains dignity for our kids and families. We are persistent in our practice of providing high-quality food.

Weekend Program

Our Weekend Food Program is the core of our organization. It is our response to a need we hear frequently from Principals and school staff: “My students don’t have food on the weekends, can you help?”

Summer Programs

While our primary mission is to fill the weekend food gap during the school year, we certainly recognize hunger is a year-round issue. We work to serve children in the summer in a few ways.

Winter Break

The Sheridan Story has an exciting new partnership to expand access to food for our community over Winter Break. December 21st, 2019 – January 5th, 2020, several Minneapolis Parks, all YMCA Twin Cities branches, and additional locations will have The Sheridan Story bags of food available for anyone who requests it (while supplies last).

Where We Work

We work right here in Minnesota throughout the Twin Cities and beyond. We aren’t restricted to certain school districts and work in urban, suburban, and rural communities.
